What does life balance mean to you? And what influences it? Life balance is expressed in many different ways depending on our circumstances and situation. It could be work-life balance, personal or emotional fulfillment, being totally at peace with yourself, managing time for yourself as well as for others.
To me, it means that you don’t feel that your heart or mind are being pulled too hard in any direction. More often than not, you feel calm, grounded, clear-headed, and motivated.
Just like anything else in life, achieving a happy balance can be planned and adjusted if we look at where we’re spending most of our time. Is your time spent pleasing others too much, with not enough YOU time? Other people’s demands on our emotional and time resources are a significant aspect of life balance.
Finding balance is a lifetime project. It is ongoing. It is not a finite goal at the end of which you will have a peaceful, calm and meaningful life. Balance is a way of living. It is a process.
“DAILY LIFE” is a glass art mural that reminds us of finding the right balance in our daily life. This hand-cut, fused glass mural rises above the minutes to focus on the whole day, revelling in the balance we don’t always realize we are currently living out.
Perhaps the recent lockdown has made you take a step back from your daily grind and reconsider your priorities. Has spending more quality time with your family made you want to rebalance things in your life? Have you reached out to your friends more who you don’t see very often?
When life starts to resume back to normality following the pandemic, let’s not allow the busyness of life sweep us away. Find the right balance.
This glass art mural would look stunning in a home or in the office – perhaps reminding your employees to maintain their work/life balance.
