As a Resident Artist, you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities for displaying and selling your art, a supportive community of fellow artists, and the guidance of an experienced gallery professional dedicated to promoting and selling your work alongside you.

Creative Exploration
- Utilize your dedicated studio space to explore and expand your artistic boundaries within the open format of our gallery.
- Engage with fellow Resident Artists to foster a collaborative, supportive and inspiring environment.
- You will be able to participate in each group show or gallery rehang and have a minimum of one solo art show per 2 years, supported by your fellow artists and our gallery professional.

Professionalism in Presentation
- Maintain a highly professional standard in presenting and displaying your artwork.
- Take advantage of your space in ALG Fine Art Gallery to showcase your pieces to a diverse audience.

Marketing and Sales
- Collaborate with our in-house gallerist for effective marketing strategies.
- Benefit from our commission-based sales model to reach potential buyers and expand your market reach.

Rent and Commitment
- A commitment of 24 months is required for residency at ALG Fine Art Gallery.
- A three-month notice period is allowed for termination of the residency.
- Monthly rent is $1500 and includes all utilities, 24/7 access to the ALG (exclusive of private events), use of shared space throughout gallery, a dedicated studio space with walls to hang artwork, a dedicated storage space including art storage racks.
- Commission rate on all artwork sold while you are a Resident Artist at ALG Fine Art Gallery is 30%, which includes promotion of your artwork, inclusion on our website, a full-time, experienced gallerist dedicated to promoting and selling gallery artwork, inclusion in group shows on gallery walls, and full use of gallery walls for one solo show every 2 years (applicable after 1 year). (Art sales at a different showroom or gallery are excluded. Personal art sales are included.)
Requirements for Residency
To ensure the success of our Gallery, resident artists must meet the following criteria -
- Demonstrate proficiency in displaying and selling their own artwork.
- Show evidence of an engaged audience across their chosen platforms.
- Be a proficient and thoughtful communicator in daily interactions to maintain a respectful, supportive creative environment at the ALG.
- Enjoy and thrive in a creative open studio environment where potential collectors can see works in process.
- Commit to at least one weekday each month that you plan to work in the studio so as needed our gallerist can arrange private appointments accordingly.
- Have legal agreements in place for your art commissions.
- Maintain relevant insurance to cover art buyers and installations.
