In October, my fellow artist, old friend and overall inspiration, Christi Meril is stepping into the spotlight once again to share the next evolution of her artwork in a solo art show. I’ve seen the development of “The Long Journey Home” behind the scenes and I can’t wait for you to see the incredible twenty one pieces that tell the story of this show. It will be an exciting end to the year. If you haven’t seen it already, we have opened expressions of interest for our next Visiting Artists Show in January. Official applications will open in November and I will blind-select the featured artwork and notify our group of 2027 Visiting Artists in December.
These are my two focuses for the rest of the year, and I couldn’t be happier because they align perfectly with why I started ALG Fine Art in the first place. The dream I started turning into a reality in 2019 is coming together in the most beautiful way.
Our purpose at ALG Fine Art
I opened ALG on Dallas Design District’s iconic Dragon Street in 2019 because I had a vision of an art experience I wanted to offer.
Artists working side by side
As an artist myself, I wanted to create art alongside other artists. When we come together to inspire and encourage each other, magical things happen. The Resident Artists at ALG Fine Art are never alone. We have our studio spaces next to each other so we can be part of each other’s work in progress. It’s such an honor to see artwork come to life like this.
Open the conversation
I have always liked the idea of closing the distance between art lovers and artists. To the people viewing and potentially investing in the art, I wanted the artist to be more than a name on an information label. At ALG Fine Art, we took down the barriers between visitors and artists by holding the studios and gallery in one space. Visitors exploring the artwork can also see artists developing their current work in progress, creating a deeper connection to the person and process behind the art.
Curate art experiences
ALG Fine Art isn’t a static gallery. We regularly change what is hanging on the gallery walls to offer new art experiences. This is a great way to introduce new art to the space. It’s also a great way to view art you’ve seen before. The new hang might show you a piece in a new light, in a way you could imagine it in your home or the home of a loved one or client. Whatever the intention behind your visit, I wanted to offer art experiences that feel like stepping into the world of the artist.

For many, they come to ALG Fine Art to find art that’s right for their hearts and their homes. They want to source their art locally from artists they can speak to and build a relationship with. The gallery enables this connection, especially as we have a team ready to talk to you about what you’re looking for, help you discover your style and match you with potential options. We’ll ask the questions you didn’t think to ask and are open to answer whatever questions come up for you in the process.
I’m so proud of the gallery I have built over the past 7 years. Every art that has been on our walls. Every artist we have platformed. Every art show we have curated and event we have hosted. This is your space as much as it is ours and I can’t wait to welcome you to what we have coming up next.
