Evidence of a Human Touch
Curiosity. Belief. Dreaming.
This is a show about being human. We are opening our gallery to visiting artists for the start of 2027, and we want work that could only have been made by a person.
We are taking Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as our frame. Not the costumes, not the rabbits, the shape of it. A world where the scale is wrong, the rules keep changing, and every character is strange in their own way. That is a fair description of a life. It is also a fair description of a good group show.
Three ideas to create from
There are three invitations pulled from the book. Start anywhere. Take one, take all three, or let them lead you somewhere we have not thought of.
Curiosity. Looking at the world in an unexpected way. Being willing to be surprised by what you see.
Belief. The idea that deciding to believe in something can make it so.
Dreams. The importance of dreaming, and of holding the possible and the impossible side by side.
We are not after a literal retelling of the book. If we receive four paintings of the same rabbit, something has gone wrong in the brief. We want your reading of these ideas, in your medium, in your voice.
Who this show is for
This show is for artists who want to look at things in a new way and be challenged by what they make. Every medium is welcome. Painting, sculpture, glass, mixed media and more.
How the review works
We review every submission blind. No names, no prices points, no track record in front of us. We respond to the work itself and nothing else. It is the heart behind the piece that decides it.

Expressions of interest are open now. This is the first step. Register here and we will send you the full submission pack, with the brief, the timeline and everything you need to submit your work in November.
Start now. Sketch, make, dream. The earlier you begin, the stronger your submission will be.
What to create to
You can create more than one piece for this show. So artists can show several works rather than a single piece.
Each piece can be up to 2160 square inches. That is the height times the width. As a guide, that is a piece up to 60 by 36 inches, or 54 by 40, or 48 by 45, in portrait or landscape. Anything where height times width comes to 2160 or less fits.
How it works, in short
- Now. Register your interest below. Complimentary.
- November 2026. Submit your finished work for blind review. [Submission details and fee are in the pack.]
- December 2026. Accepted artists notified and finished delivered to ALG Fine Art.
- January 23, 2027. The show opens in Dallas.
