Valuing the little things in life more with glass art

When our daily life can feel so hectic, sometimes it’s good to slow down and appreciate the small things more. Life moves at such a pace sometimes, and if we don’t stop and enjoy the moment, amazing things can pass us by before we really have the time to enjoy them.

Let’s face it, we’ve not really had big events to look forward to until recently, like parties, weddings, holidays or even celebrating our birthdays with our friends. Instead, we’ve been regaling in the small joys like reading a book, trying our hand at gardening (without success!), or spending an afternoon baking (a little more successfully!) while we waited for the world to reopen.

With my ‘newfound time’ over the last year and a half, I’ve really connected with nature in a way that I simply haven’t had time to before. Smelling the flowers, listening to the birds and revelling in the stillness. These things have really forced me to slow down and reframe what’s important.

My potted glass spring flowers have been so popular during this season, possibly because people are reframing what’s important and wanting to give their loved ones something really special. I love them because they help me focus on joy, and I want to spread that love far and wide.

Life is how you see it

When you are able to see things from a bigger perspective than just your own, you are able to find clarity, peace, understanding, and truth.

My inspiration of “BIRD’S EYE VIEW” was born from seeing the bigger picture, which is often more complete, intricate, and beautiful than our day to day vistas.

Even as life starts to get back to some sort of normality, I encourage you to take it slowly, find happiness in the small things and appreciate every last drop of what we have.
