Making a difference through my art is very important to me as an artist. I create from a deep need to express myself and channel my creativity, but also from a desire to inspire hope, empathy, and positive change.
In the coming weeks, I’m doing that in an exciting way.
Art for Advocacy
I am a long-time supporter of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and the vital services they provide to children and families in need. Every year, they host an Art for Advocacy event where artwork is auctioned off to raise funds for their important work. As well as ALG Fine Art being the Diamond Gallery sponsor for the 2025 gala, I have donated 3 pieces to the auction.
“Chianti Classic”
This was created during the Fall I spent studying under a Glass Master in Murano and traveling across Italy. From the villa patio, I captured the leaves changing across the mesmerizing Chianti Hills and the sunsets getting richer and rosier.
“Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em”
A fresh take on the nostalgic Rock ’em sock ’em robots of the 80’s, this piece takes apart the sharper edges of the past and reassembles them to represent the hope of the future, wishing joy and new life on all those around it.
“Let It Go Succulent III”
This is one of my series of whimsical glass succulents that represent the joy of life and the freedom of letting go. See if there is still availability for the Art for Advocacy Gala on September 13th and view my pieces at the Preview Exhibit at NorthPark Center until September 10th. Thank you in advance for all your support of this event and the worthy cause we are raising money for. It means a lot to me and the organisation on the ground, providing vital services.
