The Gallery Diaries – Welcoming the next generation of art professionals

When I founded ALG Fine Art, our purpose was to come together to create. Over the years, that has expanded to a mission to make fine art inclusive for creators, collectors, and the wider community.

Art is a safe space to explore the human experience through visual storytelling that ventures beyond our own lived experience while teaching us more about ourselves.

To me, art spaces are important parts of our communities. So, I’m always looking for more ways to drive engagement and opportunities. It’s about what we can achieve together.

That’s why I’m so excited about expanding the team at ALG Fine Art. We have recently welcomed Isabelle Heard as our Gallery Manager.

Why we’re growing Team ALG

In her role, Isabelle will be helping us with the organisation of art shows and events, the day-to-day running of the gallery, and engaging with the community, growing our impact and reach with artists, art collectors and all those with a creative streak.

As ALG’s Gallery Director, I see this as my chance to:

  • Support the next generation of art professionals as Isabelle hones her voice on the Dallas art scene and embodies our mission, taking it to new heights.
  • Reach new people as Isabelle becomes another face of the ALG and fosters a vibrant network drawn to her genuine love for art and desire to support artists and art lovers on their journeys.
  • Offer more. With another pair of hands and source of inspiration and ideas, we can expand what we do at the ALG, elevating the visitor experience even further and providing more opportunities for transformative art experiences.

Meet Isabelle Heard

With all that in mind, let me introduce you to Isabelle Heard.

Art has always been part of Isabelle’s life. Her mum is from Spain so she introduced her to European artists, sparking Isabelle’s love for impressionist art, by taking her to museums and even playing a card game matching artists and their artwork.

The first piece of art she bought from her collection was completely led by the heart. Browsing an art market, she spotted a piece that reminded her of her time studying in Charleston, South Carolina. It was a chapter of her life that had come to an end but she could take with her into the next one through the power of art.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Isabelle moved to Dallas 3 years ago to be closer to her sister and her young family. She took the role of a Sunday School Teacher as she enjoys fostering community and creating meaningful experiences for others.

About her new role, Isabelle said, “ALG Fine Art is a great place to start. They meet you where you are. Everyone says art is a journey but they truly walk alongside you, even as you are discovering what pathway to take. The team does a great job at helping you approach art with curiosity and a sense of exploration.”

Meet Isabelle and learn more about her vision for the future of ALG Fine Art and how she’ll put her unique spin on it at Morning Tea with Miss Isabelle. This is Isabelle’s launch event taking place on Tuesday, August 26th with drop-in starting at 10am. RSVP to let us know that you’re coming.
