Easter Treats for Art Lovers

Easter is coming up early this year. It’s on Sunday April 5th! Easter is one of the few weekends of the year when we slow down, come together, and show our appreciation for each other. This time has a spirit of new beginnings, new growth and new hope. A wonderful way to symbolise that is through intentional artwork you have a deep connection to.

Whether you are looking to get a piece of art for yourself to inspire your next chapter or you would like to get a piece for a loved one to celebrate their growth, here are a few Easter and spring-inspired artworks from my collection.

“Faith” series

You might have seen “Abiding” and “Trusting” at ALG Fine Art recently as they are part of the gallery’s spring collection. These archival ink & cut-out Lucite hanging sculptures were originally made as part of my “Faith” series. I practiced faith throughout the creative process, using a blind contour method of drawing in a continuous line with my eyes closed. I also spent time praying and meditating over how the world changed and yet stayed the same.  How I felt stuck yet, in retrospect, I had transformed over time. To me, they represent what it looks like to truly live in the presence of God.

“Grace” mirrors

My “Grace” mirrors always bring a smile to my face. The blossoming flower in the middle reflects the beauty already blossoming inside us, even if we don’t realise it. I created them as a tangible reminder to give yourself some grace, walk tall, and remember that you’re already pretty amazing just as you are.

“Floating Blooms”

What embodies the small joys of spring more than my “Floating Blooms”? Available in a range of colorways, these mini glass murals capture flowers in a frame so you can feel uplifted by bright blooms all year round. Gift them to welcome in the new season and celebrate what we have already achieved so far.

“Glass Succulents”

If you’re more of a succulent person, I have glass versions of those too! My “Glass Succulents” are pieces of abstract art that were created with freedom and whimsy while embodying resilience. I hope they inspire you to let it go and embrace the joy of life. They’re a perfect gift for the friend (we all have one) who can even kill a cactus. There’s no watering required!

“French Reflections III”

“French Reflections III” has the spirit of all things Easter and spring. This Lucite print is an ode to the French countryside and the beauty that blooms there. It’s delicate and dainty like the first buds of spring. The kaleidoscope effect flips the perspective of the landscape. As we think about the meaning of Easter and the new beginnings it calls forth, we can gain a new perspective on our lives and how we find meaning in them.

Which piece connects to where your heart is as we go into Easter? Inquire about purchasing my artwork online or at ALG Fine Art, where you can see some of my collection in the gallery. I hope you have an amazing Easter weekend and enjoy this time for rest, connection and appreciation.
