Dallas Fine Art show features notable new artwork in Glass Art

“RECHARGED” Fine Art Show features notable new artwork

In-person events are back with a bang at the ALG Collective! It’s sure been a long time coming, and we’re so excited to host our Premier Spring Art Show, “RECHARGED,” on Wednesday, April 20th from 5-9pm at the ALG Collective, 1302 Dragon Street.

I’ll be featuring my new series “Faith,” tapping into art forms from my early career and unveiling for the first time ever sculptural ink and watercolor compilations alongside my signature fused, hot-blown and sculpted glass creations.

I’ve been working from blind contour sketches that I drew and then watercolored over, which I’ve now re-imagined with a kaleidoscope approach. Inspired by my prayers from several years ago, but settled into a peaceful whirl with no beginning, and no end. The geometry is so satisfying; the combination of repeating patterns, circular shapes, and reflective symmetry is something I find deeply fascinating.

I’ve absolutely loved working on these. They’re unlike anything I’ve created before, but they do mimic the look and feel of glass – each with a reflection of their own.

Joining me on the night will be my fellow ALG Collective resident artists, Melissa Ellis, Annie Griffeth, and Christi Meril, each showcasing their new series which all shift conceptually and technically from their previous work.

Guests are invited to mix and mingle with our resident artists while soaking in their newest creations. You can also win a Private Happy Hour at the ALG by entering our raffle (proceeds going to the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center).

What a great way to kick-off the Dallas Art Fair weekend by joining us on this special evening.  I can’t wait!
