Thanksgiving was a much-needed pause for me. A time to take a breath, greet the holidays and revel in some special time with those closest to me.
In those quiet moments, surrounded by my family, I truly appreciated the blessings that I often take for granted – and I wanted to publicly celebrate them with y’all on here, because YOU have all been a huge part of why I’m feeling so thankful. ☺
Precious time with my family
I am truly grateful for the precious time I spent with my Mom and the rest of our family throughout Thanksgiving. There’s something special about gathering around the table, enjoying wonderful food, sharing stories, and simply being present as a family. It’s a reminder of the importance of connection and unconditional love.
Big shout out to the local Dallas community
Ever since I founded the ALG Fine Art Gallery 5 years ago, I’ve loved the vibrant work-play community from the Dallas Design District. The support from other businesses and Gallery owners over this last year has been incredible and I can’t thank you enough.
In September, it was a privilege to showcase and support 22 local talented artists by hosting our first ever Visiting Artists Show. This bought together a large and diverse audience of art enthusiasts and collectors who were simply in awe of the amazing talent on display.
I will NEVER forget that night, and it was a pleasure to see such a variety of work on display on our walls, each piece owning a unique and heartfelt story.
To our Resident Artist, Christi Meril
I want to express my gratitude for our Resident Artist, Christi Meril. Not only has she been so supportive rock to me personally, but she’s ALG’s constant cheerleader.
As an artist, I’ve watched her grow and develop an unwavering commitment to her work and her talent deserves to be celebrated.
Looking to the year ahead with excitement
As we move into the holiday season and the new year, I’m filled with hope and excitement.
My goal for 2025 is to keep creating beauty from brokenness, color from a blank canvas, and continue to build on ALG’s reputation in Dallas as home for the district’s artistic talent.
Speaking of excitement, I’m thrilled to announce my solo Art Show in January. My brain is currently in overload with so many creative ideas, and I’m loving creating a brand-new glass art collection for this show that reflects my personal journey as an artist.
Let’s step into 2025 with open hearts, big dreams and a vibrant palette of creativity.
